BloggeRhythms

Reading the incumbent’s double-talk regarding his badly mistaken complete troop withdrawal from Iraq led to finding this transcript from Rush yesterday, posted on Facebook as follows:

“RUSH:  This is just psycho-something.  Still blaming Bush.  This man got elected promising to get every evidence of any American presence out of there, and he did.  And when he did, he very proudly proclaimed it.  And now he's blaming the Iraqis and Bush for what he did.  I can understand it.  It's worked for him for five years.  Why stop now?

But here, let's go to Boca Raton, Florida, October 22nd, 2012, the third presidential debate between Obama and Mitt Romney.  This goes by kind of quickly, 14 seconds.

ROMNEY:  You and I agreed, I believe, that there should have been a Status of Forces Agreement.

OBAMA:  That's not true!

ROMNEY:  Oh, you didn't?  You didn't want a Status of Forces Agreement?

OBAMA:  No.  What I -- what I would not have done is left 10,000 troops in Iraq that would tie us down!

RUSH:  See?

OBAMA:  That certainly would not help us in the Middle East!”

After reading Rush’s transcript, some further research confirmed his analysis. Such as this item from NBC, msnbc.com and news services which was updated on 10/21/2011 at 6:58:45 PM ET.

“WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama on Friday declared an end to the Iraq war, one of the longest and most divisive conflicts in U.S. history, announcing that all U.S. troops would be withdrawn from the country by year's end.

“As promised the rest of our troops in Iraq will come home by the end of the year. After nearly nine years, America's war in Iraq will be over,” Obama said. The withdrawal of American troops marks a major milestone in the war that started in 2003 and resulted in the removal of Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq.

"Today I can say that troops in Iraq will be home for the holidays," the president said.”

However, while the tactical mistakes made in Iraq, and on most other foreign policy issues, are getting most of the headline news other errors continue occurring in a host of additional categories of governance.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that “While 8.7 million jobs have been regained since the 2008 recession, they are paying much less, by an average of 23 percent, according to a report released Monday by the United States Conference of Mayors.” Therefore, while the numbers indicate increasing employment, the jobs are far lower paying and the overall economy continues to weaken.

Then, Investors Business Daily says, “The nation’s third-largest health insurer had 720,000 people sign up for [ObamaCare] coverage as of May 20, a spokesman confirmed to IBD. At the end of June, it had fewer than 600,000 paying customers. Aetna expects that to fall to ‘just over 500,000’ by the end of the year. That would leave Aetna’s paid enrollment down as much as 30% from that May sign-up tally.”

But even worse for those who choose to stay on board with insurers: “Most enrollees will see a 7.5 percent increase in their premiums under ObamaCare in the next year, according to data compiled by the Health Research Institute. Customers in Nevada could potentially be hit with a 36 percent increase while those in Indiana could see a 15.6 percent spike. Several states have yet to release their final projections for insurance rates in 2015.”

Which brings us to today’s item regarding Bill Clinton’s wife and another refutation about her pleading that their family was “broke.”

According to Daily Mail on-line, “Hillary Clinton left her post at the top of the U.S. State Department on Feb. 1, 2013, but the federal government spent more than $55,000 on travel expenses related to her book tour just last month, procurement documents show. The expenses included a $3,668 charge for her to enjoy a single night's lodging in a suite at the posh Four Seasons George V hotel in Paris…”

So, similar to Valerie Jarrett who believes the incumbent’s a genius, because compared to her he undoubtedly is whereas her IQ is likely a single digit, Hillary too has problems in assessing personal financial conditions. Because when the government pays for one’s expenses, such as almost $4,000 for a hotel room in Paris, unless you have your own billions at your disposal to waste as you wish, someone who’s only a multi-millionaire might very well believe she’s destitute by comparison.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
