BloggeRhythms

On November 6, Reuters reported that, “The Obama administration is moving to increase and accelerate the number of Syrian refugees who might be admitted into the United States by opening new screening outposts in Iraq and Lebanon.” According to administration officials.

“The move comes after President Barack Obama pledged in September to admit an additional 10,000 Syrian refugees in 2016, torn by four years of civil war and disorder.”

“The White House would not say how many additional refugees it may take in beyond the 10,000, but two senior administration officials said they are seeking ways to increase the number.”

This is in addition to the countless illegals continually flowing into the US on a daily basis via the border laxity.

As almost an afterthought Reuters added: “However, some Republicans have raised concerns that allowing more Syrians into the United States jeopardizes national security.”

Then yesterday morning, November 13, “President Barack Obama seemingly downplayed the threat of ISIS in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that aired on “Good Morning America.”

“Stephanopoulos asked Obama if ISIS was gaining in strength, to which Obama denied they were.

“I don’t think they’re gaining strength,” Obama responded. “What is true is that from the start, our goal has been first to contain and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq, and in Syria they’ll come in, they’ll leave, but you don’t see this systemic march by ISIL across the terrain.”

Then, later that very same night, on the streets of Paris at least 120 people were killed in simultaneous attacks. ISIS is claiming responsibility for the terrorism. The same ISIS the POTUS proclaimed was a “JV team.” His words in January 2014 were: “'The analogy we use around here sometimes and is accurate is if a JV team puts on Laker uniforms, that doesn't make them Kobe Bryant."

Well, since in his opinion they may not be professionals, the question becomes: What will they do when they become pro’s and how does he expect them to prove it? There’s also another question on the same subject: When will the American voting public wake up and demand that the POTUS start doing his job instead of campaigning for votes from his ideological base?

On Friday ,Chris Stirewalt @foxnews.com published results from The Edge, which is akind measurement from the New Analytics Company that “scrubs” television, radio, print, internet and social media for mentions of the 2016 candidates. It is not a public opinion survey, but the team at New Analytics has built an unsurpassed tool to measure which candidates are driving the national discussion. The data are compiled into a single score and provided to Fox News First. “

If this information is nearly as accurate as Mr. Stirewalt thinks it is, Trump is stagnant and Jeb Bush is far from dead, although pundits loudly proclaim the opposite. And in addition, with all the hub-bub about Rubio, Jeb is ahead of him still.

Here are the Edge results: “Donald Trump, 25.62 [-.36]; Ben Carson, 19.03 [+.57]; Jeb Bush, 18.43 [+6.49]; Marco Rubio, 17.44 [+7.74]; Rand Paul, 12.31 [+6.99]; Ted Cruz, 12.07 [+4.21]; Carly Fiorina, 11.59 [+5.13]; John Kasich, 11.28 [+6.65]; Chris Christie, 10.13 [+2.82]; Mike Huckabee, 7.74 [+1.62]”

As far as Trump is concerned, though many are impressed that he works without a script, he really needs one. In Iowa he lashed out at Ben Carson and at voters in a 90-minute speech in front of a sometimes stunned Iowa crowd. Mr. Stirewalt says, “Trump believes he deserves the Republican nomination and appeared angry that voters would be “stupid” enough to believe Carson had the temperament to be president because of teenaged violence.”

Trump claims that Iowans are stupid to believe Carson’s conversion story, because “Carson is like a “child molester” in that he will always be the same person who tried to stab a friend in high school. Carson says that when he accepted Jesus as his savior, Carson’s heart changed and the rage that had burned in him was extinguished. Trump says that you’re a fool if you believe Carson. That would make fools out of a lot of people on caucus night.”

However, if you take Trump’s consistency theory one step further, it means that he hasn’t changed or grown either. Which means that he’s the same guy who almost lost all the real estate his dad left him, that the banks helped him to bail out. He’s also the guy who avoided the draft by staying in college. He failed at running a professional football team and bankrupted four Casino’s in New Jersey. He’s also the guy who was a Democrat for most of life.

Real estate-wise, in 1990, due to excessive leveraging, The Trump Organization revealed that it was $5 billion in debt ($8.8 billion by some estimates), with $1 billion personally guaranteed by Trump himself. The survival of the company was made possible only by a bailout pact agreed upon in August of that same year by some 70 banks, allowing Trump to defer on nearly $1 billion in debt, as well as to take out second and third mortgages on almost all of his properties. If it were not for the collective effort of all banks and parties involved in that 1990 deal, Trump’s business would have gone bankrupt and failed.”

Thus, if people truly are consistent as Trump is quite certain they are, he’s the last guy on earth that ought to be ranting about what’s in somebody else’s closet.

And then, according to yahoo.com. “Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore was due to host the 24-hour live webcast from the foot of the Eiffel Tower to drum up attention for this month's international climate summit in Paris, which now has been delayed.

Which is remindful of Rush’s 2006 global-warming countdown chart. At that time, Rush said: “Now, the last time I heard some liberal talk about "ten years" it was 1988, Ted Danson. We had ten years to save the oceans; we were all going to pay the consequences, which would result in our death. Now Al Gore says we've got ten years. Ten years left to save the planet from a scorching. Okay, we're going to start counting. This is January 27th, 2006. We will begin the count, ladies and gentlemen. This is just... You have to love these people -- from afar, and from a purely observational point of view.”

One can only hope that someone will bring this up at Gore’s meeting, just to see how he tries to explain himself. Because only a card-carrying, certified moron would believe what he keeps spouting simply to keep enriching himself.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Alexandra Gibbs @cnbc.com, reports that: “In a speech at the Trades Union Congress in London, the bank's chief economist, Andy Haldane, said that up to 15 million jobs in the U.K. were at risk of being lost to an age of machines, which is almost half of the employed population currently.

“80 million jobs in the United States are at risk of being taken over by robots in the next few decades, a Bank of England (BoE) official warned on Thursday.

“With U.S. data showing that total nonfarm employment hit 142.6 million in October, that's roughly over half of the total jobs at risk.

What’s more, with robots being more cost-effective than hiring individuals over the long term, jobs with the lowest wages were also at very high risk of going to the machines.

"The smarter machines become, the greater the likelihood that the space remaining for uniquely-human skills could shrink further. Machines are already undertaking tasks which were unthinkable – if not unimaginable – a decade ago. Algorithms are rapidly learning not just to process and problem-solve, but to perceive and even emote."

So, while out-of-touch, aging relics like Bill Clinton’s wife are unaware of the technology going on around them, her push for higher minimum wages and increasing worker benefits will only accelerate work-place automation faster and further. Or perhaps, she is aware but just doesn’t care, which is just as likely.

Which means that any low-end employees that vote for her are also voting for their own long-term unemployment, which may occur quite quickly in the future. And therefore, in their own interests ought to be demanding that others enter the presidential race. Bringing up the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you reading this?

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
