BloggeRhythms

A news item yesterday reported that Trump has a plan to defeat ISIS in the Middle-East. As the announcement scrolled by on the bottom of the screen the first thought that arose was that this is like getting advice from Curly, Moe or Larry about quantum physics.

According to beforeitsnews.com,  this advanced branch of physics concerns Albert Einstein’s quantum theory that “tries to understand reality at a microscopic scale, making it confusing and puzzling overall. In fact, the high level of mathematics and physics involved in comprehending this science can even confuse modern scientists who employ it in the finest real time applications.”

And since the preceding analogy is likely correct, perhaps Trump should stick with what he really knows best. Hosting TV shows, filing for bankruptcies and collecting rent.

On another subject, it now appears the data on Bill Clinton’s wife’s computer drive submitted to the FBI for analysis may have been erased. And if that’s true, to defend herself perhaps she ought to explain that the information was wiped for security purposes, whereas it was classified as Top Secret.

As far as the potential problems arising from improperly secured storage or handling of highly classified information, is concerned, Oliver Darcy @theblaze.com reported today that, “Speaking to TheBlaze using smartphone messenger application Kik, a representative for the Islamic State Hacking Division said the group is constantly spying on U.S. servicemen. The organization on Tuesday published personal information purporting to belong to U.S. military and government online.

“Just like they spy on Muslims, we are spying on them, watching their employees, watching their soldiers, recording their movements and taking their location information and passing it on to the soldiers of the islamic state,” the anonymous male member told TheBlaze.

“they have no security just like their employees and military personnel have no OpSec,” he continued, “they are people who like to brag and boast and this is to our advantage.”

Which leads into today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife, an article not only important for what it contains, but also because of the credentials of its author, John R. Schindler, a security consultant and a former National Security Agency counterintelligence officer.

Mr. Schneider writes on thedailybeast.com that “Clinton and her campaign operatives have repeatedly denied that she had placed classified information in her personal email while serving as Secretary of State during President Obama’s first term. (“I am confident that I never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received,” she said last month.) Her team also denied that she would ever hand over her server to investigators. Now both those assertions have been overturned.

Hillary Clinton has little choice but to hand over her server to authorities since it now appears increasingly likely that someone on her staff violated federal laws regarding the handling of classified materials. On August 11, after extensive investigation, the Intelligence Community’s Inspector General reported to Congress that it had found several violations of security policy in Clinton’s personal emails.

What Mr. Schneider considers most serious is that “the Inspector General assessed that Clinton’s emails included information that was highly classified—yet mislabeled as unclassified. Worse, the information in question should have been classified up to the level of “TOP SECRET//SI//TK//NOFORN,” according to the Inspector General’s report.”

Thus for the two choices presented above, they demonstrate either purposeful behavior outside the law for personal reasons or gain, or professional incompetence at the highest level. Neither of which can be tolerated for someone in the office of POTUS.

Leading to the daily question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you reading this?

That's it for today folks.

Adios
