BloggeRhythms

Scanning today’s news, one realizes that if you removed the “spin” from main-stream reporting there’d be absolutely nothing positive to convey regarding the administration at all. Fortunately, though, there are other sources presenting factual information.

To begin, Adam Kredo writes in the Washington Free Beacon via FoxNews.com that: “Just hours after the announcement of what the United States characterized as a historic agreement with Iran over its nuclear program, the country's leading negotiator lashed out at the Obama administration for lying about the details of a tentative framework.

“Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif accused the Obama administration of misleading the American people and Congress in a fact sheet it released following the culmination of negotiations with the Islamic Republic.”

While bragging in an earlier press conference that the U.S. had tentatively agreed to let it continue the enrichment of uranium, Zarif added that Iran would have all nuclear-related sanctions lifted once a final deal is signed and that the country would not be forced to shut down any of its currently operating nuclear installations.

Then, “Following a subsequent press conference by Secretary of State John Kerry -- and release of an administration fact sheet on Iranian concessions -- Zarif lashed out on Twitter over what he dubbed lies.”

Because of the numerous weaknesses in the “deal,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blasted the framework, saying it would pose a "grave danger" to the region and "threaten the very survival" of his country.

He also announced that his Cabinet is united in "strongly opposing" the agreement and that, since it would not shut down a single nuclear facility or destroy a single centrifuge, “The deal would legitimize Iran's illegal nuclear program,” and “It would leave Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure."

However, what no is mentioning is that Netanyahu’s problem stems from Obama keeping his promise to Chicago’s Reverend Wright about weakening Israel for him.

At the same time, while failing foreign policy’s getting all the headlines, not very much is being mentioned about how much damage the administration’s done to the US. economy.

Jeff Cox reports on CNBC.com that: “The sputtering U.S. economy created just 126,000 jobs in March as bad weather, weak consumer spending and flailing corporate profits resulted in the worst report since December 2013.

“Economists expected nonfarm payrolls to rise 245,000 in March, with the unemployment rate holding steady at 5.5 percent, according to Reuters. February's numbers were revised lower to 264,000 from the initially reported 295,000, while January's number fell from 239,000 to 201,000.”

But, like almost everything else regarding the administration’s performance, the numbers don’t reflect the truth of the matter. Because, while the overall unemployment rate held steady at 5.5 percent, a generational low in labor force participation helps keep the figure low. And, what’s even worse is that a separate gauge that includes those who have stopped looking for work as well those employed part-time for economic reasons, equate to a much more accurate 10.9 percent, the true unemployment number.

Additionally, according to yahoo.com: “Most Americans' incomes continued to fall last year, but the richest 20 percent saw theirs rise, a new Labor Department report showed Thursday.

“In fresh data that adds fire to a growing debate over income inequality, the department said that Americans on average saw income decline for the second straight year in the 12 months to June 2014.”

Which means that the wealthiest segment of the economy, claimed by the president himself and others like Nancy Pelosi to be the most horrific folks on the planet, keep doing better in spite of the damning speeches, while “average Americans” keep going backward, income-wise.

On the same subject, at the same time, more Americans dropped out of the labor force last month, as the number of people not in the labor force hit another record high in March.

Carolyn May, reports on breitbart.com that: “According to Friday’s Bureau of Labor Statics jobs data 93,175,000 Americans were not in the work force in March, an addition of 277,000 to February’s level of 92,898,000.

“The BLS defines people not in the labor force as people ages 16 and older who are neither employed nor have they “made specific efforts to find employment sometime during the 4-week period ending with the reference week.”

Which means that, thanks to over-regulation coupled with a seemingly hostile attitude toward businesspeople and the free market in general, this administration and Democrats in office have pretty much done to the economy what Iran wants to do to Israel. And, didn’t need a nuclear weapon to accomplish it.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Byron York, in washingtonexaminer.com writes: “Recently, a representative from the Hillary Clinton camp delivered a message to Martin O'Malley, the former Maryland governor preparing to challenge Clinton for the 2016 Democratic nomination.

I have some good news and some bad news, the messenger said.

What's the good news? asked O'Malley.

The good news is we're taking you seriously, the messenger answered. And the bad news is … we're taking you seriously.”

So, although the coming presidential election is supposed to be a slam dunk coronation of Bill Clinton’s wife, even a turkey like O’Malley poses a threat to her ascendency. Which means that her “camp” would probably croak in fear from coronaries if a credentialed competitor entered the race. Which makes it an absolute shame that the whole Dem party doesn’t have one.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
