BloggeRhythms

As election day draws nearer, the combination of momentum, basic logic, historical voting habits and breaking news amass together to favor Trump. However, as history shows, the outcome still won’t be known until after the polls close next Tuesday evening.

Statistically, according to rasmussenreports.com: Trump has a three-point lead in their White House Watch survey. “Among voters who are certain how they will vote, Trump now has over 50% support.”

He leads his rival 45% to 42%, while “Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson has four percent (4%) support, and Green Party hopeful Jill Stein picks up just one percent (1%).”

Among the 88% of voters who say they are now certain how they will vote, Trump has a 10-point lead, 53% to 43%. “Johnson gets two percent (2%) and Stein one percent (1%). This is the first time any candidate has crossed the 50% mark. Among those who still could change their minds, it’s Clinton 36%, Trump 36%, Johnson 22% and Stein six percent (6%).”

Helping Trump significantly is that: “Open enrollment for 2017 under President Obama’s health care law began yesterday, but insurance premiums are expected to skyrocket in many parts of the country. Voters overwhelmingly favor changes in Obamacare, with more voters than ever calling for its outright repeal. Trump advocates repealing and replacing the law.”

While both candidates earn 83% support from voters in their respective parties and have just over 10% support among voters in their opponent’s party, Trump holds a double-digit lead among unaffiliated voters. However, it’s those voters who are also the most likely to say they could still change their minds.

Aside from huge voter displeasure with the health care tax, another issue is likely plaguing the Democrat ticket, as reported by Afp @dailymail.co.uk

“A senior Iranian military official welcomed Thursday what he said was the "strong decline" of the United States, during celebrations marking the start of the 1979 US embassy siege.

"America is no longer number one and the first power of the world," deputy Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami told thousands gathered outside the former US mission in Tehran.

"America's political will can no longer manage political and military development in... the world of Islam. America's political power has strongly declined."

“Protesters on Thursday chanted the traditional rallying cries of "Death to America" and "Death to the House of Saud", in reference to Iran's regional rival Saudi Arabia.”

And then, hostility was underlined as the article went on to note: “But the US remains Iran's main enemy, and Tehran and Washington back opposing sides in several regional conflicts, including Syria and Yemen.

"Our fight with the Americans will continue" Salami said. "Pursuing our ideals in the world of Islam and in Iran, we will recognise no stopping point or red line.

“He also warned the US not to criticise Iran's ballistic missiles, calling its system "the real centre of our power (that) must be strengthened."

Consequently, while the Democrat campaign approach has been to evade mention of huge foreign policy errors, attempting to defame Trump instead, those major mistakes exist, nonetheless. With the ramification being, considerable voter disenchantment.

Similarly, another Democrat judgement error arose today, which is worth mention only because of a reader's comment following an article by Vanessa Murdock,@newyork.cbslocal.com

Ms Murdock headed her piece: “Bundle Up: Winters May Be Getting Colder In The Northeast”

According to the text: “While global temperatures are warming, new research suggests winters may be getting colder in the Northeast.

“New Jersey state climatologist Dr. Dave Robinson told CBS2’s Vanessa Murdock that Arctic sea ice is lower than he ever thought he’d see in his lifetime.

“There are profound changes happening in the Arctic,” he said.

“Research released in “Nature Climate Change” suggests there is a link between the disappearance of Arctic ice and a shift in the position of the dreaded polar vortex, which is an area of low pressure known to be near the north pole. However, it seems to be moving closer to Eurasia.

“The move favors cold air outbreaks in the Tri-State Area, especially during late winter and early spring.

“There are areas in the mid-Atlantic that will get colder, at least in the years ahead, because of the warming pattern that’s changing the ice coverage in the Arctic,” Robinson said.

To that, reader David Witheld commented: “It had to happen.

Global cooling caused by global warming.

And these guys expect to be taken seriously?”

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife, a detailed summary of the status of her now quite evident breaches of law and efforts to evade consequences of illegal activities.

The story posted by Tim Hains @realclearpolitics.com yesterday, quotes separate sources with intimate knowledge of the FBI investigations into the Clinton emails and the Clinton Foundation who told Fox News’  Bret Baier the following:

“The investigation into “possible pay-for-play interaction between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Foundation has been going on for more than a year. Led by the white collar crime division, public corruption branch of the criminal investigative division of the FBI.

“The Clinton Foundation investigation is a, quote, "very high priority." Agents have interviewed and reinterviewed multiple people about the Foundation case, and even before the WikiLeaks dumps, agents say they have collected a great deal of evidence. Pressed on that, one sources said, quote, "a lot of it," and "there is an avalanche of new information coming every day."

“Some of it from WikiLeaks, some of it from new emails. The agents are actively and aggressively pursuing this case. They will be going back to interview the same people again, some for the third time.”

The major issues involved have been itemized as follows:

“1. The Clinton Foundation investigation is far more expansive than anybody has reported so far and has been going on for more than a year.

“2. The laptops of Clinton aides Cherryl Mills and Heather Samuelson have not been destroyed, and agents are currently combing through them. The investigation has interviewed several people twice, and plans to interview some for a third time.

“3. Agents have found emails believed to have originated on Hillary Clinton's secret server on Anthony Weiner's laptop. They say the emails are not duplicates and could potentially be classified in nature.

“4. Sources within the FBI have told him that an indictment is "likely" in the case of pay-for-play at the Clinton Foundation, "barring some obstruction in some way" from the Justice Department.

“5. FBI sources say with 99% accuracy that Hillary Clinton's server has been hacked by at least five foreign intelligence agencies, and that information had been taken from it.”

Bret concluded by informing his audience: “I pressed again and again on this very issue... The investigations will continue, there is a lot of evidence. And barring some obstruction in some way, they believe they will continue to likely an indictment.”

Which can only lead to one more iteration of the ongoing question: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys are reading this?

That's it for today folks.

Adios
